4 Weeks - Peru and Bolivia

This is an example of a longer itinerary, combining a variety of sights, challenging activities and volunteer project work.

Week 1

Project work in the shanty town of Villa Maria, Peru. Work includes constructing simple wooden houses to replace unsafe and temporary dwellings. Students also organise games and activities for the children in the community.

Week 2

Explore Cusco, the centre of the Incan Empire and spend 4 days trekking the Inca Trail to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu.

Kayak on Lake Titicaca and visit traditional island communities.

Week 3

Visit La Paz, it's traditional markets and learn more about the history of Bolivia.

Take part in a challenging 5 day trek in the surrounding mountains, culminating in the chance to summit a snow-covered Andean peak.

Week 4

Project work in the Jacq Cuisi and Ambue Ari Animal Sanctuaries. Work includes the construction of larger enclosures and hands-on care for the animals themselves.
